Here are some amazing random cool stuff that I found on the internet this week - just click and enjoy

Thanks for reading!

This week:
  1. 100,000 Stars - This is one of the most beautiful things I have ever seen on the web. It shows a representation of galaxy with stars inside it. You can take a tour which starts from the Sun and takes you to the outer edges of the galaxy while teaching you valuable insights in between.
  2. The Odd 1s Out - Another comic strip website which is really hilarious. The comics are a satirical take on everyday life questions and just funny stuff. They also have a corresponding YouTube channel if you are interested.
  3. How Stuff Works - As the name suggests, the website focuses on detailing how stuff works. From soda fountains to tornados, you will find everything here. Everything is written in a short and easy to understand language. You will have fun and also learn a lot here.
  4. Nautilus - A great place to read informative and impeccably written articles dealing with a multitude of topics which can be broadly divided into science, history, psychology, and autobiography. If you are looking to learn while passing time, there’s no better place.
  5. WiKi How - This is the answer to all your question. If you ever need to find how to do anything and I mean anything (just don’t go crazy), you can find it here.

If you have enjoyed this week's brief but carefully curated walk through the web, please feel free to share or forward this email.

Project Close Checklist

You finally delivered the project and had the go live drinks. The team is now breaking up but there are a few things the project manager needs to do to make sure the project is closed and wrapped up. These are grouped into:
  • Scope management- did everything get delivered
  • Risk and issues- what is still outstanding
  • Financials- did everything get paid ?
  • Resources- have resources been re assigned ?
  • Lessons learned
  • Documentation & archiving

You may also find some of the tools and templates that I have used to deliver projects for startups here, including the most popular item in the store, a project quote tool that helps you build a fully costed project commercial model. You can find it here.
