Here are some amazing random cool stuff that I found on the internet this week - just click and enjoy!

Thanks for reading!

This week:

1. Project Management Tool:
Notion will give you a completely different take on project management. It helps to plan and discuss projects, share everything with the team, and keep track of all the ideas. “Notion is like the LEGO set for collaboration software (or Minecraft, if you are from a younger generation). It lets you assemble workflows that work best for your team, as easy as using a text editor.” – Ivan Zhao, Co-founder of Notion

2. Communication app:
RedBooth is primarily a task tracking application, but it also features built-in chat software for instant communication between team members. Workers can communicate in the same window as a task assignment, helping to keep the chat productivity-oriented.

3. Video Conference:
Lifesize, a suite of highly-interoperable video conferencing and virtual meeting room solutions that enhance communication, collaboration, and productivity.

4. Mapping Tool:
ArcGIS, the powerful tool involves desktop mapping software that allows creating beautiful maps with little training. According to the developers of ArcGIS, it was developed to get users up and running in the shortest possible timeframe. That’s why the tool can be used by people with no extensive experience and on any device. Given that ArcGis is a cloud-based service, anyone can use it and get access to hundreds of ready-to-use online maps that are updated every day.

5. Diagramming Software:
Lucidchart is among the best-known online flowchart and diagramming tools on the web right now, and it's not hard to see why. The web-based interface offers a wide range of templates for flowcharts, software mockups, and more, and there's a wide range of shapes available. The user interface sports a traditional File/Edit/View menu bar, which is easy to navigate and discover relevant features. Adding and arranging items is intuitive, and the process for making a flowchart is straightforward.

If you have enjoyed this week's brief but carefully curated walk through the web, please feel free to share or forward this email.

You finally delivered the project and had the go live drinks. The team is now breaking up but there are a few things the project manager needs to do to make sure the project is closed and wrapped up. These are grouped into:
  • Scope management- did everything get delivered
  • Risk and issues- what is still outstanding
  • Financials- did everything get paid ?
  • Resources- have resources been re assigned ?
  • Lessons learned
  • Documentation & archiving
