This week
  1. Not sure that zero work hours is possible but this is great click bait from the SMH. It does have some good points to make in relation to personal productivity including making sure you delegate when required and you focus on what is core. The article recommends reading books like "The One Thing" by Gary Keller and "The 4 hour work week" by Tim Ferriss, which I have read and is awesome.
  2. I started my professional career with Australian Telco Optus and it is interesting to see where they are now and the journey they are going through as they respond to the rise of "big ants" like TPG and iiNet. Allen Lew has his work cut out for him as he develops a new Optus Vision.
  3. At the end of the movie "The Big Short" there was a note that the key player only invests now in water companies. This is getting some more "airplay" now on the internet and there is an interesting post here on virtual water.
  4. I was at a China Export Trade breakfast this week. It was hosted by the NSW Chamber of Commerce and NAB. Several of the businesses highlighted as doing great things in China through agri business innovation include. Brookfarm andHarvestbox.
  5. And finally just because it is Friday night and the start of the NRL season and the opening game between Manly and The Bulldogs is on tonight. Enjoy !

If you have enjoyed this week's brief but beautifully curated walk through the web, please feel free to share or forward this email.
