This week:
  1. Art & Craft. The Hand & Eye is an interesting site with stories about people who make things with their hands. It reveals the ways people approach their crafts.   

  2. Nature Lovers. Born outside and incubated at secret spots, on motorcycle trips, around campfires, over mountain passes and even on city streets, the stories on The Northern Post live at the intersection of the great outdoors and lives well-lived. The site has a great collection of outdoor gear.

  3. Personal Development. Think Simple Now (TSN) is a personal development community with self-reflective stories from real people. The Seattle PI stated that its “Motivational advice that’s actually applicable to daily life.”

  4. Food. Fresh Off the Grid gets you camping and food stories from the road. Its special focus is on camping and backpacking recipes - a great cooking resource for outdoor enthusiasts.

  5. Fundraising. Generosity is essentially a platform for human goodness. It provides socially minded fundraising opportunities for all kinds of causes - big or small.

Project Close Checklist

You finally delivered the project and had the go live drinks. The team is now breaking up but there are a few things the project manager needs to do to make sure the project is closed and wrapped up. These are grouped into:
  • Scope management- did everything get delivered
  • Risk and issues- what is still outstanding
  • Financials- did everything get paid ?
  • Resources- have resources been re assigned ?
  • Lessons learned
  • Documentation & archiving
